Speaking of proxies, here is a website that discusses this topic. See URL: http://atariboy.wordpress.com/2006/01/16/bypassing-school-filters-and-blocks
I work in IT for a K12 school district with approximately 5000 students. We deal with this stuff all the time. I feel your pain.

We use the following user account naming convention in our district. First 4 letters of last name, First 3 letters of first name, and the two digits of thier graduation year “06”. How would you modify your vb script to do this username? BTW: Great Podcast! I have been waiting for this type of podcast.

A quick search found this video that at the end show exactly what a ‘Bump Key’ is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQjADSCFt3M&search=bump%20key
Also, thank you very much for the review of Launchy. I haven’t used it more than twice yet but it still give me goose bumps. This is one of those tools I didn’t know I was missing until I tried it!
Now when I’m all worked up over a new tool I probably won’t be able to live without… Here’s one that I really don’t want to live without: Enhanced Virtual Desktops (http://www.hexagora.com/en_dw_evd.asp).
EVD help me keep different work areas for the 15+ different applications I have open every day supporting our customers.
